'Better go up in flames and reduce to ashes than keep burning endlessly'. The inspiration for this work came from a musical called 'Dance of the Vampires'. In particular, when Count von Krolock sings 'Endless Appetite', it is not only about a physical hunger but the need for finer emotions. He would rather live once fully than being forever driven by physical forces. I think it has a lot to say about artistic expression as well. Many 'artistic souls' have to earn a living in jobs they do not fit when inside they would love to follow a burning desire to create art and reach people around the world.
